CA High Speed Rail – Palmdale to LA

The California High Speed Rail system is an 800-mile facility with nine segments between San Diego and San Francisco, stopping at 22 major cities. The purpose of the statewide system is to provide an intercity travel capacity to supplement the critically overused interstate highways and commercial airports. With speeds of up to 220 mph, the California High Speed Rail will meet future intercity travel demands that will be constrained due to increasing congestion and travel delays.
PQM developed a unique Quality Management Program which was maintained throughout the 30% design for the 62-mile segment between Burbank and Palmdale. The program provided oversight of design development across eight sub consultants. The Quality Program helped the management team track decisions while maintaining accurate and consistent products.
