Lossan Rail Corridor Improvements

The 351-mile Los Angeles-San Diego-San Luis Obispo Rail Corridor (LOSSAN Corridor) travels through a six-county coastal region in Southern California and is the second busiest intercity passenger rail corridor in the United States. The LOSSAN Corridor services includes 41 stations and more than 150 daily passengers trains, with an annual ridership of more than 2.7 million on Metrolink and COASTER commuter trains.

The LOSSAN Corridor Agency identified a need to reduce the risk associated with project delivery. In 2014, OCTA hired PQM as part of their Program Management Support Services. PQM developed and implemented a Quality Assurance Program to support the project team with the delivery of three commuter rail projects.

PQM reviews and approves the Quality Management Plans and monitors performance and compliance against those Quality Management Plans. We conduct surveillance and audits at significant design and construction milestones, identify discrepancies, and oversee corrective action plans and verify implementation.
